Another Change A Comin'
The big news in the Haynes household these days is that we will be moving...to Pennsylvania (let's see how long it takes me to spell that right). Keith has received a promotion to Base Manager with his company FMC Technologies. Keith will be opening a new base in Blairsville, PA. While it will mean some big changes for our family we are excited about the adventure. We will be leaving CO around the end of February. So if any of you are our that way...drop us a line!

Sterling Has Arrived! April 25, 2009
Well Sterling arrived almost 4 weeks ago and this is the first chance I have had to start updating the blog. And now as I start, he is crying...go figure. So after our last post, we started to monitor Sterling a little closer due to the gestational diabetes. At our ultrasound, we learned that Sterling weighed in at 6lbs even at 37 weeks. The ultrasound also showed that the amniotic fluid was getting low. So we had a repeat ultrasound at 38 weeks which showed even lower fluid levels which is why we decided to induce labor.
So on April 24 the we headed to the hospital at 7 am. We were sure we would have a baby but by 5pm we still had no baby. So we started Pitocin to try to get things going faster. At 11:30 with still no progress we decided to take a break for he night and restart at 5 am on the 25th. The break in action worked and at 8:30 am they broke my water which really got things moving. I didn't last long with the contractions so had an epidural which was wonderful. It still took another 10 1/2 hours but at 6:53 pm Sterling FINALLY made his grand debut. He weighed in at 6 lb 9.9 oz and 18 3/4 in long.

Our last photo as a family of 2.

Waiting for the action.

Baby Shower and Sterling's Room
On March 28th, some of my local friends gave me a baby shower. It was wonderful as many of my friends and coworkers were able to come and help us prepare for and celebrate Sterling! On other fronts we are 35 weeks 4 days and still counting. Everything is still looking good. However, I have now developed carpel tunnel in my hands giving me one more thing to wake me up at night. I have also recently been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I have seen a diabetic educator and started a new diet which so far has done a great job of regulating my blood sugar. We will just have to monitor Sterling's size a little closer to ensure he doesn't grow too big. =) At next week's doctor appt, we will see if any progress has started to occur and hopefully get an idea of how close we may be getting to the arrival of our special little boy! We are so excited!

8 Weeks To Go!
We have hit the 32 week mark and things are starting to come together nicely. We have started on the nursery by painting and putting the crib together. Our theme is sports and I can't wait for it to be ready. Here are some pictures of our latest progress in all departments. =)

We have ordered a sports border and will add it when we get it.

10 Weeks to Go!
We had a second ultrasound today. Little man is healthy and growing steadily. He is right on track measuring in at 29 weeks and 4 days (Wednesday will be 30 weeks even). He weighs in at approximately 3 lb 1 oz. He has 10 fingers and 10 toes and HE is still a boy (Keith had to make sure). He has already turned so he is head down which explains the change in where I feel him kick. He looked so cute and I love him more everyday and am getting very anxious to meet him.

The only 4D photo we got. His face was hidden by the cord, but it is a good shot of him arms.

Baby Bump Pics...Finally!
Sorry it has taken me so long to get these pics up. I have been sick with a cold for the last week and before that you know how life just gets in the way. Anyway, everything has been going good with Sterling. He is kicking up a storm and I am just thankful that he hasn't woken me up at night yet. I love feeling him move and am getting more anxious everyday to meet him. Keith has only been able to feel him move once but he is not very patient about waiting for it. Hopefully I can be more consistent now.

It's A Boy!!

Keith and I went for our ultrasound a couple weeks ago. It definitely made this whole experience feel more real. There definitely is a baby in there and he was very active during the scan which was neat to see. He was turning somersaults and kicking all over. I haven't really felt the movement yet but I am sure I will soon. We definitely wanted to know the sex if we could and for about half of the scan he was shy but then he gave us a great view and Keith was very, very pleased! So we are having a boy!
